This Round Dining Table has a very unique, sculpted base. Most joinery is “haunched”, meaning each leg or support fits into a corresponding notch or recess in the piece it is attached to . You can see this visible connection in the detail images. When combined with the concealed mortise and tenon joinery, these connections give the base strength, both visual and actual. All components are tapered, lending additional fluidity and elegance to the piece.

This table, as pictured, has a 40″ top, but could well support a much larger top. It could also be made in a variety of woods. Please contact me to discuss.
