Ibis Moon Wall Sculpture

Ibis Moon is a larger recreation of one of the series of wall sculptures I made in the early days of the pandemic. Its hand carved from a single piece of solid Peruvian mahogany, ebonized (blackened) then burnished. Its finished with a lustrous oil/wax. Though not visible from the image, the carving/ texture continues around the edges of the piece.
