We first met Eben at the Rockland Boat Show, where we were drawn to his clean and modern aesthetic, and quickly followed that up with a visit to his workshop in Edgecomb and the commissioning of the first of five pieces Eben has crafted for us (we’d have even more if we had more room!). We love the care that he brings to every aspect of creating his pieces, from curating and selecting just the right wood, to carefully templating and modeling the pieces in miniature, to the exquisite detail in the joinery and shapes he creates to give them such a sculptural quality. The fact that Eben brings us into that process as collaborators and is continuing a proud Maine woodworking tradition makes us feel extra pride of ownership and connection to the furniture. –

I met Eben at the Smithsonian Craft Show several years ago and instantly fell in love with his beautifully crafted furniture. His tables echo my love for Mid-century modern design. We met Eben at an art show and immediately loved his work. We commissioned him to design a dining room table for our new home in NJ. We worked together with Eben and he constructed a beautiful mahogany table that is the focal point of our new home. It has an interesting mechanism to open it to add leaves. This tested Eben’s engineering abilities but it works beautifully.
It was a pleasure to work with Eben on this project. He is an easy person to talk to and he is a great listener. And when I made some heat marks on the table he even came to NJ to fix them.
And by the way, we also have some wonderful wall hangings of Eben’s.
