Sawtooth Coffee Table: 17″h x 22″d x 40.5″w ; maple veneer, baltic birch plywood, pigmented conversion varnish; $3900.

This fun, bold -shaped form had been catching my eye as a drawing in my sketchbook for some time before I decided it was time to bring it alive in three dimensions …and color.

The structure of the Sawtooth is comprised of a baltic birch hardwood plywood frame. The form is then entirely veneered with a full 1/16″ thick maple veneer.

After much meticulous sanding and detailing, the table is sprayed with multiple coats of pigmented conversion varnish, an extra hard, two part, lacquer – like product. The chartreuse color is actually matched to Sherwin Williams’ “lively yellow”. After this pigmented conversion varnish, the Sawtooth is sprayed with a final protective clear coat.

This table is available in my Edgecomb, Maine showroom ready to be shipped or delivered to its lucky new home. If a slightly different size or a different color is desired, please contact me to discuss recreating a new version. Changing the present Sawtooth to a color of your choice is also a possibility.
