I design and build my Townsend2 Coffee Tables to the dimensions requested by customers; the two pictured just above were for sizes requested by interior designers. Maintaining the same look and feel of my original Townsend table, these newly proportioned designs have a much greater depth than the original, combined with various widths .

The table  at the top of the page is made of solid white oak and is presently available. It is sprayed with a resilient, clear satin conversion varnish (like a lacquer).

The next table down is also made of white oak. It is sprayed with a pigmented conversion varnish. The color is matched to Benjamin Moore’s “Hale Navy”.

The next version- just above-  is made of solid walnut and is finished with a lustrous oil/wax finish.

All versions of this table are constructed using traditional mortise and tenon joinery. The base is hand sculpted into its finished, fluid form. The one inch thick top is heavily beveled around the underside of its perimeter to add to the table’s light and airy appearance.
