The Cirrus2 console table is a design that evolved from my Cirrus Console as a commission for a client who wanted an entry table without drawers.

In addition to the top becoming a “floating” solid sculpted piece of  beautiful hardwood, I added some sculptural curves to the base as well as some blackwood accents in the form of pegs and exposed splines. The rail under the top forms a “gunstock” shape at each end before joining to the outer legs, now disconnected in this version, from the hovering top above. A further refinement takes place in my subsequent Cirrus 3 table which eliminates the two angled “legs” in favor of one single sculpted upright.

I enjoy all three Cirrus designs, each one for its slightly different composition than the others.
