The Cirrus4 console table is the latest in my line of Cirrus tables. All these tables feature the distinctive sculpted top, each on differently designed bases.

With this latest incarnation I used metal to obtain the thinnest, strongest uprights and, therefore, the “airiest” overall feel. The colors and character of the ebonized panelling below, combined with the steel structure, give the base a heft– both visually and physically– and contrast with the thin, clean maple top floating above.

The top, as with my other Cirrus tables, is hand sculpted with a sweeping curve on its front edge and on its entire underside. The sides and back edges are angled flat. The entire top is detailed and sanded smooth and finished with a hard, durable conversion varnish.

The top on this Cirrus4 console is a bit slimmer than my other Cirrus tops, giving it a dramatic floating quality, especially when combined with the spare metal base and supports. The top is also not as wide as the other Cirrus table tops, making it more able to fit in smaller spaces.
